The staff of Hammond Central School is committed to building each student's self-esteem, love for learning, self-reliance and academic, physical and artistic skills in a safe and wholesome environment.
 
We believe that all students can learn. The example set by the staff and the consistent reinforcement of our standards in nurturing students will demonstrate this. We assume responsibility for inspiring students with confidence they need to meet the challenges of the future.

Capital Project Announcement - Playground Closure

Construction of our $6.7 million capital project, which was voter-approved in May of 2023, is beginning! Due to the nature of the work being done, our playground will be closed beginning on Monday, April 28th. During construction, we will not be able to use the playground to make way for the clearing and paving of the perimeter walking trail, as well as window replacements, siding, and stonework that will be completed throughout the summer.

Registration is now open for Hammond's UPK program!

If you are a school district resident and have a child who will be four-years-old on or before December 1, 2025, your child is eligible to attend our full-day universal pre-k program. The UPK program can help your child develop important skills that will help them succeed in kindergarten and beyond.
