Dear Red Devil Families,
Spring is in the air and our school community is enjoying many great events and exciting upgrades! From OCP productions, to Colgate Dental care and Baby Goat visits, members of our Trap team shooting perfect scores and Academic All-Star recognition to a Division III Basketball signing, we are proud of our students and all of their achievements both in and out of the classroom. We have just closed out the 3rd marking period and are preparing for a strong finish to the school year.
I am thrilled to announce the beginning of our $6.7 million dollar capital project which was voter approved in May of 2023. There will be several fantastic upgrades to our facilities (please see a few digital designs and blueprints attached), including but not limited to: completely new locker rooms, window replacements throughout the building, mason work on the front of the building, safety and security upgrades, a digital sign in front of the building, replacement of our back parking lot, a school property perimeter walking trail and more! With these improvements come some temporary changes, sacrifices and adjustments in order to put safety first.
One important announcement, due to the nature of the work being done, is the closure of our playground beginning Monday, April 28th. During construction, for the safety of our Red Devils and community, we will not be able to use the playground as there is a great deal of field work with the clearing and paving of the perimeter walking trail as well as window replacements, siding and stonework that will be completed throughout the summer. We appreciate your understanding, patience and support as we work through the capital improvements to our building.
We are anxiously awaiting all of the upgrades this project is bringing to our school and look forward to our community being able to enjoy them as we complete each phase of the capital project. Once our project is complete we are eager to host an Open House to showcase all that has been done!
